Knit in the Round: Knit a Cowl
This course is for the Knitter who is familiar with the basics. In this class you will learn to read a pattern and knit a cowl in the round.
Please note: While the pattern is the same, the sample picture has been completed in a lighter weight.
Skill Level: Participants should have completed our Learn to Knit class, or have equivalent knowledge.
Homework: Participants may need to complete the project at home.
Supply List:
Pattern is free. Participants supply the yarn and needles.
Yarn Weights: Chunky or (Super-Bulky). One skein needed for this project.
Recommended yarn:
(Chunky) Cascade 128 Superwash Chunky, Berocco Vintage Chunky;
(Super-bulky) Malabrigo Rasta, Mirasol Ushuya
Gauge: 3.5 (2.25) sts = 1” in Stockinette stitch
Needles: Chunky – 6mm, 40 cm circular; Super-bulky – 10mm, 40 cm circular
Notions: 1 stitch marker; 1 darning needle to weave in ends
