For over 40 years Wool-Tyme has been supporting fibre crafts in the Ottawa areas, and beyond. We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service, as well as a collection of products from around the world at various price points. We are looking for an experienced crafter to join our team of sales associates.

You're the ideal candidate for us if:

  • You have previous sales experience;
  • You must be experienced in knitting, crochet, needlework, or other fibre craft;
  • You are willing to learn about other fibre crafts;
  • You listen to customers' needs to provide exceptional customer service;
  • You're proactive and conscientious;
  • You enjoy organizing
  • You can assist customers with planning their project (talking through a pattern and product selection)
  • You are functionally bilingual (an asset).

 

What a typical workday looks like:

  • Give a warm welcome to every customer who comes into the store;
  • Help them find everything they're looking for—answer their questions, and explain the products;
  • Restock inventory on the floor and keep shopping areas tidy;
  • Stay current on new products to be able to assist customers in their product planning and purchases;
  • Process transaction at the cash;
  • Complete opening/closing procedures;
  • Respect and apply the policies and procedures of Wool-Tyme;
  • Perform other duties where needed to support the team.

 

PERMANENT, PART TIME. START DATE MID OCTOBER, WITH POTENTIAL FOR EARLIER.
