The Gentle Art Overdyed Cotton Threads - Summer Shower to Wrought Iron

The Gentle Art threads are 6-strand 100% cotton embroidery floss and come in 5 yard skeins.  They are subtly shaded, each skein containing many colours blended with care to provide incredible visual richness.  

Working with overdyed floss is a fun experience. The Gentle Art developed their Sampler Threads and Simply Shaker threads specially to give new pieces an aged appearance. The thread colors are muted; the color variations per strand are subtle.

The Gentle Art work diligently to produce a product which is consistent, lightfast, colorfast, and has heirloom quality and longevity. As with any hand done process, there are slight variations within each dyelot, and there is a margin for error. However, they are proud to say that theirs is small and they strive to minimize it.
