This course is for the knitter who is familiar with knitting with two colours at the same time and is looking to go to the next level. This course also includes learning the skill of steeking knitted projects. There will be two (2), three (3) hour sessions with space between sessions to prepare for the next learning objective.

Homework:  There is some preparation needed. Instructions will be emailed/given to participants once enrolled. The project will need to continued outside of class to progress to the next step.

Supply List:

  • Two balls  of extreme colour difference/value from the following suggestions (available at Wool-Tyme). If choosing alternative, choose a 100%, non-superwash wool.
    • Haynes Creek Heathers DK
    • Fjallallopi
    • Lanus Light (Berroco)
    • Sport by Brigs and Little.atons Classic Wool in two contrasting colours.
  • ONE(1) 3-4 mm circular needle 24" long for body and main ribbing (dependent on your gauge and yarn choice). You will need a smaller needle for the button band, but this will be discussed in class.
  • A roll of highlighter tape is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Stitch markers
  • 5 buttons (recommended to choose further into the project)
  • Optional: It is really handy to have two wool spinners such as this one by Moosehill Woodworks

Note: There will be no refunds later than one week before the start of the class.
