This is a great class for someone looking to expand their skill in fairisle knitting.
As you make a headband or toque (your choice), you will build on your skills to learn:
What is colour dominance
Dealing with yarn and colour selection
How to manage floats
Gauge options
Prerequisite: Beginner Fairisle class.
Minimum age for this class is 12 years of age.
Instructor: Ruth
Homework: There is some preparation needed. Instructions will be emailed/given to participants once enrolled. The project will need to continued at home to complete.
Supply List:
- Two balls of extreme colour difference/value from the following suggestions (available at Wool-Tyme).
- Drops Lima
- Fjallallopi (Lopi)
- Lanus Light (Berroco)
- Sport by Brigs and Little.atons Classic Wool in two contrasting colours.
- ONE(1) 3-4 mm circular needle 16" long. (dependent on your gauge and yarn choice).
- A roll of highlighter tape is recommended but not mandatory.
- Stitch markers
- Pen and paper for taking notes
- Optional: It is really handy to have two wool spinners such as this one by Moosehill Woodworks
