NOTE:  Before beginning to knit, unwind a little yarn from the outside of the ball and check whether it is green spots or pink spots that appear first.  If you have green spots first, knit from the outside of the ball.  If you have pink spots first, rewind the yarn and knit from the inside of the ball.  This will ensure that your "flowers" appear above the "leaves."
