3mm tip - Use with Fingering and Lace yarns
4mm tip - use with Light Worsted, DK and Sport yarns
5.5mm tip - use with Chunky and Worsted yarns

The tips on these punch needles can be inserted so they are between 1"  to 1.5", which produces a 0.5" to 0.75" long loop.
